In 2010, Dr. Mark Napoli, an interventional cardiologist and Monroe native, founded Cor Medical—a company that implements employee medical clinics and cultivates healthier, happier employees. Working alongside the healthcare industry’s top experts, Dr. Napoli continues to ensure Cor Medical patients have access to the most innovative, cost-effective care through virtual and in-person visits. 

ULM partnered with Cor Medical because doing so aligned with the university's core values—investing in people. Partnering with Cor Medical means adding convenience and removing cost barriers so that employees can prioritize their well-being. 

Our experienced clinic staff provides care for:

• Acute illnesses like stomach viruses and colds.
  
• Chronic conditions like high blood pressure, thyroid disease, and diabetes.
  
• Immunizations such as the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
  
• Preventative care and screenings with patient referrals to specialists as needed.
  
• Mental health therapy to teach patients coping techniques for stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional eating.
  
• Physical therapy that provides the latest in exercise instruction, dry needling, cupping, and ergonomics.
  
• Diet counseling to help patients understand diet trends, diabetes meal preparation, and weight loss strategies.  

Employees will pay a flat $50 fee. There will be no traditional copays following clinic visits. The monthly $50 fee will be automatically dedicated via employee payroll should the ULM employee decide to participate in this initiative. 

Our robust patient portal expedites the registration process and reduces your waiting room time.  

The patient portal allows you to view and book appointments, receive appointment reminders, refill your prescriptions, pay your bills online, and access your medical records. 

Important health information can be shared with your regular healthcare provider.  

Cor Medical will never share a patient’s personal health information without his or her written consent. 

• Mental health counseling: anxiety, depression, emotional eating, PTSD, a post-pandemic world, isolation, and more
  
• Dietitian coaching: understanding nutrition, managing sugar cravings, creating diabetes meal plans, and more
  
• Sick Care: Cough, cold, flu, and more
  
• Chronic Disease Management: diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorder, and more

All ULM faculty and staff can use the Cor Medical Clinic.
